they met at work.
19-year-old Andrew was working at Chick-Fil-A and 17-year-old Karla was the new girl on the CFA crew. (her first day of work happened to be Andrew's birthday! isn't that the cutest?) Andrew saw Karla right after she was hired and he thought she was gorgeous (even in her Chick-Fil-A uniform), but he had a girlfriend at the time, so they were just friends for a while. She worked out front and he worked in the kitchen. she never really talked to Andrew outside of work, or thought of him as anything more than a friend.
they had become pretty good friends, and Karla thought Andrew was really interesting! she learned that he spent his spare time volunteering at the fire station and he wanted to join the state police. she thought he had an amazing personality and he definitely had (and still has) the ability to make her laugh. one particularly boring night at the station, a now-single Andrew sent Karla a Facebook message, and after a long conversation on Facebook, he decided that he was definitely interested in dating her.
a few months later, they made plans to go to the mall, but had to reschedule because of a snowstorm. when they finally got the chance to meet up and spend the day together, they ended up eating at Golden Corral, but stayed at the restaurant and talked for about 5 hours. after a few more dates, Andrew made things official and asked her to be his girlfriend (Karla said it took him FOREVER to ask her out...haha!) and they've been together for the past 2 1/2 years!
last year, Andrew proposed at the top of the tower at Antietam Battlefield. there were roses and candles laying on the ground and Karla thought it was really cute, and, well, she said "yes"! ;)
i am so excited that i get to photograph their wedding next month!!! i loved spending time with them on their engagement session and capturing their relationship. i couldn't be happier with the results! :)
enjoy the photos!
